This three-day gathering of ideas revolving around politics, technology, arts, culture and human rights organised by Tehelka magazine features 70 ‘thinkers and innovators’ from India, Pakistan, the US, Britain, China, Israel, the Middle East and Europe. The list includes social commentators like Ashis Nandy and Sudhir Kakkar, writers VS Naipaul, Mohammed Hanif and Thomas Freidman, French economist Esther Duflo and filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee, among other well-known names. Also on the list are less visible names like Nobel Peace Prize-winner Leymah Gbowee, Afghan journalist Shukria Barakzai and Professor Hasan Elahi.
