Supported by the Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan, New Delhi, and edited by the curator of Alkazi Foundation for the Arts, Rahaab Allana, PIX is a photography quarterly structured around practices, technologies and the curating of contemporary photography in India. The publication seeks to investigate “the conceptual standing and adaptability of photography to its subjects: its movement, transmission and appropriation to the allied arts”. Each issue works its discourse around a theme, and the theme for this issue is the visualisation of “trespassing”—an exploration of the dichotomies of defying barriers of identity and geography that may not necessarily be ours to cross. The team invites submissions within the framework of the theme.
