The Kala Ghoda Arts Festival remains dedicated to its vision of the inclusiveness of art. This year the festival presents 28 plays with a choice of three to four shows per day to choose from. The prominent directors are Lillete Dubey, Sunil Shanbhag, Akash Khurana and Aylque Padamsee. The plays include Munshi Premchand Short Stories and Ghalib Ki Haveli by Mujeeb Khan, Manch Andhere Mein by Virat Kalodbhav and What The Butler Saw by Akvarious productions. The literature section of the festival has a workshop on writing for television by Venita Coelho, a panel discussion on political writing featuring Shailja Patel, R Chandrashekhar, Neelesh Mishra and KP Singh, and the launch of Sudeep Chakravarti’s The Avenue of Kings. The Dialogues Series, a new programme of conversations with some of India’s leading artists, will be launched with a panel discussion involving Harsha Bhatkal, Ranjit Hoskote, Nancy Adajania, Atul Dodiya, Baiju Parthan and Anju Dodiya.
