In its fifth edition this February, Persistence Resistance aims to keep up with continually evolving viewing trends. The annual documentary festival attempts to create diverse spaces for viewing films, from auditoriums to video parlours and video libraries. It offers a space for installations as well as interacting with filmmakers, all of which aim to take account of the viewers’ sensory perceptions. This year the festival will screen both Indian and international films to celebrate the independent documentary artists’ deep engagement with the myriad forms that the documentary affords.
