Asmita, a Hindi theatre group associated with socially relevant plays, is staging its Summer Theatre Festival that will see seven plays being staged in the city until 11 July. The plays will take up contemporary issues to underline the contours of our time. The plays include Mohan Rakesh’s Lehron ke Rajhans, Rajesh Kumar’s Ambedkar aur Gandhi, Ashok Lal’s Ek Mamooli Aadmi, Dario Fo’s Operation Three Star, Mahesh Dattani’s Final Solutions, Harsh Mander’s Unsuni, which has been scripted by Mallika Sarabhai, and Swadesh Deepak’s Court Martial.
