The second edition of the Hyderabad Theatre and Short Film Festival by Samahaara, a non-profit cultural society, starts 19 July. The festival, launched to provide a platform for theatre enthusiasts to showcase their ideas and talents, will take place at Ravindra Bharathi for seven days in association with the Department of Culture. None of the films and plays have been seen elsewhere. A panel of judges comprising eminent theatre and film personalities will select the best entries, six each among plays (50 to 90 minutes) and short films (12 to 30 minutes).
