Samanth Subramanian is a contributing editor at The Caravan and the India correspondent for The National. He has previously written for Mint, Foreign Policy, The Huffington Post, Newsweek, The Wall Street Journal and Foreign Affairs. His book Following Fish: Travels Around the Indian Coast won the 2010 Shakti Bhatt First Book Prize. He holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Pennsylvania State University and a master's degree in international affairs from Columbia University.
