Coeurs/Private Fears in Public Places

01 May, 2011

Esteemed French director Alain Resnais' film Coeurs, an adaptation of the play Private Fears in the Public Places by Alan Ayckbourn, is a story of six loosely connected people leading lonely lives. Resnais' Paris is no romantic city of lights, but a city in which people struggle to connect with each other. The ensemble movingly portrays their hopeful attempts to find love in the midst of urban alienation. The film won the Silver Lion award at the 2006 Venice Film Festival.

Coeurs, 13 May, 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm, Alliance Francaise de Delhi, 72, Lodhi Estate, New Delhi.
