NCPA BANDISH: FESTIVAL OF LEGENDARY INDIAN COMPOSERS (MUSIC)

Hindustani classical music centres on the melodic and rhythmic composition known as bandish. The National Centre for Performing Arts’s three-day festival showcases the work of composers and poets like Mirza Ghalib and Faiz Ahmad Faiz, Vilayat Khan and Gajananbuwa Joshi, and Barkat Ali Khan and Bade Ghulam Ali Khan. The artistes presenting performances are Kaushiki Chakrabarty, Malini Rajurkar, Talat Aziz and Ulhas Kashalkar.
