Necessary Targets

01 May, 2011

Necessary Targets is a story about women caught in wars, based on Eve Ensler’s play inspired by her taped recordings from a Bosnian trip in 1995. Melissa, an ambitious young disaster specialist, befriends JS, a pampered urban psychiatrist, during her visit to a Bosnian camp to help women cope with their traumas. As relationships and experiences are revealed, the interlopers find themselves challenged, becoming the ‘necessary targets’. The play is directed by Prakash Belawadi and performed by the Suchitra/CFD troupe.
