Phantomata (Art)

Marking the fiftieth anniversary of Mumbai’s Gallery Chemould, the Aesthetic Bind series comprises five exhibitions curated by Geeta Kapur. The first, Subject of Death,premiered in September and contained a mix of artists’ works commemorating the late Bhupen Khakhar. In October, Citizen-Artist: Forms of Address opened, displaying works that dealt with the complexity of citizenship in the modern nation-state. The third exhibition in the series, Phantomata, opens on 29 November and will examine economic depression through mixed media works.
