ROMEO AND JULIET—NO STRINGS ATTACHED (THEATRE)

01 July, 2013

Winner of The Hindu Metroplus Playwright Award 2012, Romeo and Juliet–No Strings Attached is a comedy about a group of puppets who come alive in an empty auditorium after their show has been shut down. Just before they escape to live ‘free’ lives, they decide to enact the play they’ve been built to perform—William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Only this time, they’re doing it for no one but themselves. Written and directed by Prashanth Nair and presented by Bangalore-based Tahatto, the play’s cast includes Shashank Purushotham, Anshul Pathak, Rijul Ray, Chris Avinash and Kalyani Nair.
