Summer Swell Challenge 2013 (Surfing)

In August, the scenic coastline of Pondicherry will host the second annual Summer Swell Challenge, India’s only international festival for high level surfing, art and music. This year’s edition will be judged by experts from Australia and France. The competition will see over 100 Indian and over 25 international surfers. The festival’s organisers are the Kallialay Surf School and Bodhi Café in Tandarayakuppam village, and the new culture website, Homegrown. The categories for the surf competition are ‘Under 16’, ‘16 to 25’, and ‘25 and above’.
