Fashion Face

01 December, 2011

Vrindavan-based artist Robyn Beeche moved to London from Sydney in the 1970s and worked extensively with iconic designers and artists of the period. Fashion Face is a retrospective on fashion photography from the 1980s in London’s underground. Beeche’s work redefines fashion photography as a serious and intriguing art form that utilises influential personas like Dali and Marilyn Monroe and themes like Orientalism to comment boldly on pre-digital photography.
